I’ve recently sort of stumbled upon about 2-3 hours of unreleased early work that’s been hiding on an old hard drive for about 20 years. Some of the content is very rough… but I feel captures the raw spirit of An Early Morning Letter, Displaced in a way that is similar enough to existing albums to warrant inclusion in the overall catalog as a collection of early work. I’ve selected the best pieces from that pool of work to be included in this collection.
These are all from the days of mp3.com and as such… most predate the release of August in 2000. Many of these recordings were mixed without the benefit of a multitrack DAW by simply overlaying the recorded parts upon one another by trial and error. Additionally, most of these were recorded through actual hardware and without the use of MIDI composition or software synthesis of any kind.
The material has been arranged and divided over three separate releases that will publish over the next few months across the usual channels.
