Wondering what’s new in DropFolders 1.1.63? Here’s a quick overview video. You can grab the new version from the Adobe AIR Marketplace.

Any plans on watching a folder + subfolders?
I will include this in the enhancements list as a preset option.
Thanks, Joseph. Your work is appreciated!
Thanks for the program. On Windows 7 my dropfolders.exe process will take up as much as 40% of the processor when running…I understand HandBrake taking up a lot of processor, but not the dropfolders app….Is this normal?
It takes less than 10% CPU for my x64 Windows 7 system. It’s a 4 year old system too. Not sure why it would take so much for you.
Hi Joseph,
First of all; excellent work on the drop folders project! I cant understand why the Handbrake dev’s don’t add this functionality to the base product.
Anywho, my question is as follows (have tried Googling the answer, to no avail):
The build of handbrake that comes with DropFolders (I think, as there are no version numbers on the exe) is old. The exe in the DropFolders directory is called handbrake.exe. Within the official handbrake install (0.9.6), the 2 exe’s are handbrake.exe (GUI) and handbrakecli.exe. How do I go about forcing DropFolders to use the latest version of Handbrake? Do I simply take the handbrakecli.exe, rename it and replace the existing handbrake.exe in the DropFolders Handbrake directory? I’m not sure if the file “libgcc_s_sjlj-1” is linked to the shipped build of handbrake?
Many thanks in advance.
Shawn Wilkin.
You should be able to simply rename and replace, yes. I do not believe that file is needed.
Cool, thanks for the swift reply!
