Flash Player: 2020

Adobe has announced that they plan, in cooperation with browser vendors, to end-of-life Flash Player in 2020. It is important to note a few things here… this is only in regard to Flash Player not AIR! The AIR team have some very cool stuff on the roadmap and AIR will continue on, regardless. Additionally, we now have a number of ways to convert content which requires such conversion through Animate CC and other tools. I’ve gathered a number of important resources around this topic… below! Flash & the Future of Interactive Content “Adobe is planning to end-of-life Flash. Specifically, we

Lynda.com – Building Custom HTML5 Video Playback with Angular 2

Building Custom HTML5 Video Playback with Angular 2 The HTML5 video element allows us to play back video files through native browser elements, but the default experience is lacking for most projects—and differs drastically in appearance across the various browsers. On YouTube, HTML5, and Flash

Everyone applauding the default to HTML5 from Flash Player on YouTube should recall that without Flash, YouTube would not exist.
