The Flash Player 14 and the AIR 14 Runtime and SDK have bveen released by Adobe and should be making their way across various devices and distribution platforms.

New features include:

  • Anisotropic Filtering – enhances the image quality of textures on surfaces that are at oblique viewing angles.
  • New Stage3D “Standard” Profile (with AGAL v2!) – Multiple render target, Floating point texture, et cetera…
  • Intel x86 Android Support for AIR – only captive runtime packaging is allowed for x86 architecture.
  • AIR Gamepad Functionality – enables the app developers to provide a second screen on Android mobile devices.
  • Improved Packaging Engine for iOS – only available in Flash Builder for now.
  • PPAPI Debugger (preview)
  • Bugs and Enhancements
